A MOOC is a "Massive Open Online Course" and they are offered by educational institutions all round the world on all sort of subjects (some are free and some are not!). MOOCs are accessible to students virtually anywhere with internet access.
The Menzies Institute for Medical Research in Australia carries out a lot of quality research on MS, and they have now collaborated with a University to offer what is probably the first MOOC ever offered on MS and aimed at ordinary people who want to know more. It starts on 29th April and runs for 6 weeks, and is FREE
(sorry - no free steak knives though........ )
Here's the information from the enrolment webpage
