“YOU” have no reason to be forlorn. “YOU” are not alone and without hope. On this day as in everyday there lies within “YOU” a smoldering fire. Perhaps just mainly glowing embers, but if “YOU stoke those embers and fed them carefully, it is entirely possible to build a huge fire of your strength, of your tenacity of your will to do what has to be done to succeed on your long challenging journey through this your long and happy life with Relapsing Remitting ms RRms)
This is truly a possible goal, all that is required is for “YOU” and only “YOU” to make a decision each day as your eyes open to make it the best possible moment that “YOU” can, Not a whole day as that is a long time, not an hour, or a even a minute. Only this moment that is doable, just a moment. Keep up the moments and “YOU” will have a minute an hour a day, years and a lifetime. Make everything the smallest that “YOU” can, achieve that then achieve it again and again.
That my friend is how “YOU” thrive with this illness. Merely one moment at a time, no goal that is to large to face or to cope with. Achieve again and again and soon enough the bis goals that had been in the back of your mind will be achieved and “YOU” will be surprised at yourself and by how much “YOU” really can do and have done.
Did “YOU” know that Hawaii is actually the taller peak than Mt Everest. it did it by one eruption at a time building open its base again and again. Of course we do not have millions of years available to us. One thing we do have is the ability to open our eyes each morning and do a tiny bit more than yesterday. To say this is an unfortunate situation I am in, but there are resources there are other that have passed this way. I can and I will learn from them and for myself what I have to do.
To make my RRms life glorious. no, not to them or anybody else, Merely to “YOU” Make this and every moment one in which “YOU” are proud and happy to have lived. There are no prizes for finishing first in this our RRms life. There is a prize for last place and having lived a life long and well lived. To share with others, to be a light to shine the way. That my friend is a prize worth having and a goal to strive for. Never ask for accolades, that is not the purpose. It is to within yourself, to know. To know that “YOU” did the absolute best “YOU” could, when “YOU” could. To be proud of yourself. To do “YOUR” best whatever that may be.
this is along RRms life, it is not impossible, yes it is hard and trying at times, if it was not it may not actually have been worth living. The hardships and struggles make us the strong people we are today. No effort no glory, no struggle, no glorious life to live.
