Update about recent steroid treatment

Good afternoon family, I wanted you all to know that I am finally feeling so much better after doing my steroid treatment for relapse. My strength is much better and I'm not bumping into walls as well plus ms hug is gone yay☺. My neuro said that this time the steroids did take longer than usual to kick in but I have to go see her in 2 months. Hopefully I won't have another relapse for a very long time. Have a joyous and wonderful weekend❤❤❤❤

OK, I've missed some of this. Please tell me how you felt while taking, and at the end of your steroid runs. I have finished 12 days of Pred. and am wiped out completely. Is this totally normal for everyone? How long until I begin to come out of this thing? As I said in another answer, I feel like gravity is sticking me to this chair! It takes too much effort to move! Help, I need some encouragement! Not depressed, just frustrated with immobility right now. I have too many things I want to do to just sit here!!!

Good morning, I am so sorry that you are having a rough time with steroids. I was diagnosed a little iver a year ago and my first few IV steroid treatments were ok I had to take prednisone afterwards to taper off and unfortunately it does make you tired and takes away your taste but it will get better. Make sure you drink plenty of water to flush out the steroids and as much as you don't want to sit you will have to make sure you rest your body and take naps if needed. With this last IV treatment which was for 5 days it did hit me like a ton of bricks to the point I was just wiped out like you and so weak all I could do was rest in bed. I am much better do to increasing fluids and doing a little at a time and resting when needed. I promise you will begin to feel better, unfortunately our bodies sometimes react differently to steroids and can make things worse but make sure to let your dr know how you are feeling and hopefully you should start feeling better within next couple eeeks as the steroids work in your body. But you are not along in this fight and once again you will get better and try not to stress as it will make your symptoms worse and take longer for you to feel better. You can always reach out to me if you just want to talk ir get frustrations out. I will be praying for you to get better soon.

Thank you, so very much for your answer. I will push water! My husband is having trouble understanding me being this way. It is comforting to hear that this is completely normal. OK, so maybe church in a wheelchair tomorrow? There's hope for the days ahead. I so appreciate your encouragement and prayers! God's blessings to you too!

You are more than welcome and yes church it is tomorrow☺ You show ms that it can't keep you down long.
