Has anyone else seen the Selma Blair Interview??

Actress Selma Blair came forward with a MS diagnosis and even rocked a walking cane with a beautiful elegant dress. Was wondering if anyone else has seen this interview she had. Her speech is obviously effected, but I found it very inspirational.

Thanks for the heads-up! It's pretty incredible (frightening and maddening) that she went so long without being taken seriously.

Here's a link to the interview. youtu.be/8aHkihCdQGk

You would think with her money she would have some of the best doctors out there? Ken 🐾🐾

I thought the same thing.

Makes me wonder if her relapse would have been as bad if she was on a DMT ?

I wonder.

I have had relapses while on a DMT and only one in the 10 years I have not been on any DMT.

MS is such a strange thing to have.

I wondered why her doctor told her in a year she would be 90% better! Who on earth would say that to someone with MS???? It's so unpredictable! Stupid doctor.

No, it’s not always about money. I went to the same neuro office she would have, with a lot more symptoms. 🤷‍♀️😵

Thanks for posting this link. I got more out of the video than the written transcript I saw yesterday.

Yes, absolutely. Seeing her bringing attention to "Living with MS" and MS in general makes my heart sing! Not to say other diseases don't deserve attention, but it's amazing how little people know about MS.

I got quite emotional when I watched it . The feeling of you are going mad as you body is fighting against you and no one seems to believe you. I have recently been telling co workers I have MS as I had a bad relapse at beginning of year so for first time in 5 years had time off. They were genuinely worried about me so I thought best to be honest .

She seems to have a good sense of humour about it and embracing it in a very Hollywood way . All credit to her, as you have to hold on to those moments to get you through.

I haven’t quite got the funds so have real diamonds in my walking stick . But I do have unicorn duct tape that I have put around it . I also have one with a light and high vis tape , I work in health and safety so when I am on sites I am fully geared up even down to my walking stick .. lol lol .

I cried as well watching this interview. I was paralyzed my very first relapse. ❤🌷

I caught something with what she said that I missed in the written transcript. She mentioned fingers twitching as one of her early symptoms. Back in 2002 or 2003 I had an issue with my left thumb and index finger twitching off and on through out the day for several weeks. I never got it checked out because at the time it was just an annoyance and curiosity. If I just shook my hand really hard or just took a break from whatever I was doing it would stop. Now I'm wondering if maybe that was MS related. My MS symptoms didn't get bad until 2011 when I was forced to get checked out because of vertigo and complete lack of hand control in both hands.

Really great interview! It’s very powerful for an actress to face the camera when her voice is affected. I was a single mom when I was going through the diagnosis process and I was told some of the same nonsense she was. Things like “of course you are tired, you’re a single mother”.
