As usual every eve. I take my contacts out. One refused to come out! I tried all the suggestions from the computer but to no avail. By the end of the eve. I had at least 2or 3 stuck. How will I sleep with them in my eyes not lose my vision? I prayed to G-D. I woke up this a.m. and could see. My eye was as red as a beet. I called one Dr.'s answering service and they said I need to see my other Dr. I saw her and she got all 3 out! My son was using my car for college so I had to call a cab. Expensive but my eyes are precious to me.
Has this every happened to you?

I'm sorry you had so many issues, but I'm glad it all got resolved! I hope your ophthalmologist or optometrist can offer you some suggestions for preventing any future problems!
I use to sleep with my contacts on, I stopped sleeping in them because I kept cutting my eyes (abrasions) and that hurts so bad. Everytime I went outside it was hard to see in the sun because my eyes turned sensitive to light. Now I take them off everynight. 😊❤🌷
Hi Leslie, I am pleased that all turned out well, but excuse my ignorance but why do you have multiple lens in your eye, I have never heard of that, I wear glasses 🤓
No one is ignorant unless they don't ask. According to one of the sites on the computer they suggested putting another one in your eye and it would connect with the other contact making it easier to get out. That didn't work for me.
so glad you got them out, I know some folks that ended up at the E.R. to get them out.I have a hard time putting drops in my eyes I can't imagine a contact.OUCH
Leslie, if this happens again, douse your eye with Systane (artificial eye tears, the only ones on the market without preservatives if you have single-use vials). Take as many as you need to get it out, I sometimes have to use 3-5 vials.
I worked for an eye doctor. wish I had seen your post earlier, so I could of reassured you that you won't lose your vision. Glad it was resolved. But now, the question is How do you prevent this from happening again? Do you have hard or soft lenses? Is it a related to your hand function? Or did you just get upset which always makes it worse?
Hi So Glad you're okay - this never happened to me but to my youngest adult son (29 yrs) wearing glasses since age two; plenty!!!!! He just has too much of a good Saturday night and falls to sleep. it's very painful and dangerous....he's learning Feel Better
Praying for healing this contact experience brings back many long days (and nights) at Will's Eye Hospital with my son. He swears by his back -up glasses.
Yes, I had 3 lenses in my rt eye unknown to 9 drs over a yr and 1/2. I had eye infections constantly, scratches on th cornea, $300 worth of eye medicines. Dry eyes. Gook in eyes , matted eyes. One doc looked very hard for 2 lenses list on her watch. Attributed, small hard to see lost. 2nd dr didnt look for lens when amnio patch put in for cornea abrasions.
Listening to gospel reading of Bartimaeus, when he asked jesus to see. Asked for the same. 11 days later eye infection and a substitute dr found all 3 lenses. Off expensive meds. Eyes dont mat up, or water. 100% better. 35 visits, had to take cab or Uber, not to mention cost of visits and unreimbursed costs.
I attributed it to deep recesses in eyes and couldn't see them. Forgive them they know not what they do. I didnt want contacts in first place but I they insisted better vision. GLASSES ONLY NOW.that is my story, and to top it off had heart attack in neuroopthalmologist office when she told me bad news about epiretinal membrane.
Recovered, driving a little more and thankful. AMEN
Glad your eye dr was able to get them out for you. I have never worn them but my mom did when I was a young kid and she always had troubles with hers so I have stayed away from them.
@lbenmaor, I wore (hard) contacts for about 25 years but in my mid-40s I gave up on them. I had a lens stuck in my eye quite a few times but always managed to get them out--but it wasn't easy! I gave them up because my hands weren't up to handling them any more, and every time I lost one, it was almost dangerous because my uncorrected vision is severely myopic (20/400). Wearing glasses instead of contacts didn't work with hard contacts for me because I couldn't see much at all with the glasses while my eyes were used to the contacts. That's probably not true with the newer contacts such as yours. But I've never regretted giving up on the contacts. They were too much bother with the MS problems getting in my way. I'm glad your problem was resolved but you must have been miserable.
