Hi Pam - Botox treatment that you've seen here is for bladder control in cases of neurogenic bladder. In other words, bladder problems caused by neurological problems, not stress incontinence, which is when you lose contol from sneezing, or lifting something heavy, for example.
It involves injecting the bladder muscles, which sounds really bad--at least that was my first reaction when I read about it, but they numb you up pretty well first. I've had my first treatmentvery recently, and so far, I'm thrilled with it. For others, it hasn't delivered quite as promised.
Hope that helps!
The recent discussion here seems to have been all about bladder issues, but I understand Botox is also used for spasticity. And this Botox is much stronger than Botox Cosmetic, which is what we're most familiar with. Here's a brief overview, but you can also read more at the Botox website.
