Does anyone take Aspirin to help their MS Symptoms and does it help?

Have taken 81mg Bayer aspirin for 25 years to prevent stroke and heart attack. My neurologist is the one that suggested it. Ken πΎπΎ
Does it help your MS Symptoms?
No, not that I know of ? I know that when I have a headache and take aspirin it effects my eyes π, go blurry. Ken πΎπΎ
Good thing you know that it effects your eyes.
I was having some problems going on with my site along with headache π€ and took couple aspirin and later my eyes got blurry? Got on internet and research and found out that aspirin can effect your eye site, so I stopped and it improved π. When I went into neurologist last week I asked him and he advised it could enhance a flare up? Also started a lot of people donβt get along with aspirin? Ken πΎπΎ

I found this study and article interesting. It's a lot to wade through. It's always a good idea to make sure your doctor thinks it's a good idea, rather than to just start taking it on your own.

Yes I have used Aspirin for the last 65 years. In the 50s all children were given Aspirin for fevers and pain. I found that one 325 mg pill worked as well as 2. Aspirin got me through all the same MS symptoms that I have now. Until I was diagnosed with MS in 2008 the different pains MS has blessed me with, I thought were just a brain tumor. I have learned to take one 325 mg pill with food. It still works for me for most things.
Aspirin helped me for a while until I needed more to stop the pain. My doctor then put me on naproxen, which helps me a lot. Whatever type of NSAID you take be careful to protect your stomach and intestinal tract.
We did hair, makeup and nail for the Special Needs Prom here in town.
How did it go?
It was great. We made so many smiles on a lot of faces. They felt special and loved by our team. Our team felt great even after a long hard day. It was a blessing both ways. They came down the red carpet like kings & queens. They had dinner served and then danced. There were several service men from Charlie Comany - National Guard, there that danced with them. Everyone had fun.
It sounds like it was a blast. I wish I could have seen it.
Tim Tebow Foundation put on something similar every year. Churches in different communities put the prom on. You might be able to get involved in one next year. You can check it out on this website.timtebowfoundation.org/nigh...
