This is Dr. Weil's article (also copied and pasted below):

Vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, is a water-soluble nutrient that helps in the production of neurotransmitters, the chemicals that allow brain and nerve cells to communicate with one another. Pyridoxine also ensures that metabolic processes such as fat and protein metabolism run smoothly, and is important for immune system function in older individuals.

It may also help address a number of conditions, including:

Nerve compression injuries (like carpal tunnel syndrome)

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

Some cases of depression and arthritis

It is also part of a regimen used to treat high homocysteine levels along with folic acid and vitamin B12. Memory loss, diabetes, asthma attacks, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), kidney stones, lung cancer, acne and atherosclerosis may also be alleviated with vitamin B6 supplementation as it lowers one’s homocysteine level.

Good food sources of vitamin B6 include brewer’s yeast, whole grains, legumes, vegetables (especially carrots, spinach and peas), potatoes, milk, cheese, eggs, fish and sunflower seeds. Dr. Weil recommends taking B6 as part of a complete daily B-complex supplement that contains a full spectrum of B vitamins, including thiamine, B12, folate, riboflavin and niacin.

Good read👍. I have been reading about this and thinking I need to get a good B-complex vitamin. Ken 🐾🐾

Be cautious. Too much B6 can cause symptoms such as numbness.

I am off the Vitamin B Group completely as my B12 for some reason is through the roof.

I take a brewers yeast supplement every day, 2 in the winter but just 1 in spring/summer. I hope that isn't too much but no numbness so far (except in brain lol! 😂)

probably ok with brewer's yeast. You need to exceed 5-100mg to have symptoms

Yeah, I don't know if B6 is so important.....I'm sure I get enough from healthy eating, I looked it up, yep I get lots of the natural food sources on a regular basis. Along with my Mature Multi which includes 178% B6, 1,042% B12, not less than 125% of the rest of the B-complex items, not to mention 208,333% B12 sublingual. And yet on fatigue days, I could pop another of those 208,000% sublingual's and hope it helps.....along with... Whatever works? I guess I could get a mega dose B6 too? Or just eat more...nope, already have the next XX meals planned with an excess of natural B6 items.

I'm not numb yet....at least any more than I have been for the last xxx years? My feet, 30+ years. Yeah, I was young when that started. My brain? The clearest in many years. Remember, I came out of a multi-year coma (HD Brain Fog) till I focussed on nutrition, the hard way.
