Has anyone ever experienced what I can only describe as "leg freeze"? There are moments when I simply cannot make my legs move without holding on to something. It does seem to happen if I'm particularly tired or stressed.
Leg freeze?: Has anyone ever experienced... - My MSAA Community
Leg freeze?
I occasionally get it happen to me in just my right leg and as you say it’s when I am stressed or tired. It can be alittle un nerving. Even when walking with the walker, the brain tells you your leg has moved but you end up tripping up because you left your leg behind. Blessings Jimeka 🦋
starlight5 ...I experience something similar when I push myself like when I go for a long walk. I often go to this one small lake near my home because it has benches along a paved walking path. When my legs start to feel like jello and I’m walking like a drunken sailor, I’ll stop at a bench for a bit until I feel the strength come back into my legs.
I have this on my right leg with the foot drop. I’ll just talk to it and say, come on get going and I will actually smack it say wake up let’s go. Usually when I am tired or hurrying 😉. Ken 🐾🐾
My legs just did that and it turned out I was having a relapse. I couldn’t bend my legs they were like a steel pole. I had to have some bend my legs and they had a hard time getting them to bend.
I also have moments when I’m walking and I get stuck and I can’t move and I have to have someone come get me.

Kindly get a massage equipment and get your legs a massage.
Even, my right is not right! 😜😎
Yes, this also happens to me. Often, when I first wake up. I slow down and breathe into it. Most often, the leg comes back. Focus and speak kindly to your body. It works really hard for us. Good luck.
That happened to me right before I was diagnosed with both my legs. Unfortunately I was riding a bike at the time. I went over and broke my arm in 4 places and had a concussion. If I wasn't so much in pain I would have been freaking out! (One piece of my bone actually broke off.)
That is a regular occurrence for me, especially when I fall and try to get back up. My right leg freezes in what ever position it is in. If I am using a rollator, I use the brakes until I am sure my right leg has come with me and not frozen in place.
So sorry!
Mjcarbo, add me to the list of this happening. Its my left leg, I have to talk to it and it happens when I stand in one position too long and usually toward evening. 😀❤️
yep, too many times my mind gets ahead of my legs and down I go!
Sudden loss of sensation in my legs has been a scary problem but luckily hasn't happened very often. It was particularly likely to happen in very cold weather or when trying to walk over an icy patch. I've learned to stay out of cold weather as much as possible since then.
Hi, I just saw and read your post - I have. It's usually my right leg - (my weakest side) but talk to your doc ASAP....sometimes when we're too tired we can trigger flare like symptoms. I do, please take care of you whatever you do ...feel better.

Yes I have experience this. Not sure why but when I can I walk like you want to get a cramp out. Nerve signals are not helping. Stay well, careful.
