what is ms fatigue

saw this on another web site, hits the nail on the head

It is much like someone who has walked 20 miles up a steep hill after 2 days of no sleep, carrying a backpack full of rocks on the hottest day.It is that moment that your legs can no longer carry you and every muscle and bone hurts. As soon as you sit down or fall down you are asleep for 5 minutes and a tornado could come by and not wake you. This Sums it up pretty good, it's great we are more alike than we think

I would agree

As retired military I have actually done that. Except that my pack was filled with about 50 pounds of stuff not rocks plus carrying at least another 10 pounds worth of stuff around my waist and legs. Plus carrying an m60 machine gun that weighs 23 pounds all by itself. I weighed about 120 pounds at the time. Once I got back to my room I was out in about 2 minutes flat. Slept through dinner, a thunderstorm, and at least 2 shifts of siren testing. I was in an MP company at the time. So yep that's a pretty good description of MS fatigue. 😊

Me too Peruzzot and I weighed 95 lbs. and am 5-1 tall. I have a picture of a forced march posted on the bulletin board in my gym to remind me “I did and I can” 👊

I'm 5-6. I'd get officially put on the underweight program once going below 114 lbs. But I'm going to have to look through my photos to see if there is one with me all geared up. I don't think there is....But youve got me wondering now if maybe I do.

Simply Imagining a hike of 20 mi of a steep hill carrying a bag of rocks has worn me out! Seriously you hit the nail on the head and only those of us with chronic illnesses or especially MS can understand how we can sit back to relax for a minute next thing you know we've been asleep for hours. Then we wake up still feeling tired and if we don't get up we can fall back to sleep! Yuck! I hate it. I used to go A Thousand Miles a minute now I can't go a thousand miles in what feels like years and years. Fancy.
