After a sleepless night last night, with pain and spasms, I've decided that I'm going to make my own Thanksgiving feast tomorrow. Although it's just me and I already got all the stuff yesterday (store was a madhouse), I just couldn't muster up the momentum or energy to make it today! Oh well, I got a steak in the fridge already thawed, so will probly broil that with a baked potato and spinach salad, much less work and haven't really had much of an appetite up until now. Turkey breast is frozen, but in a cooking bag, directions say to keep frozen, 2.75 lbs, until ready to bake and it will take about 2-1/2 hours to cook. Shoot, even if I put it in now, I would still have to make everything else to go with it and I'd be lucky to eat at midnight!! ππ Not gonna happen tonight. Anyway, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and feast on with the leftovers! π¦π°ππ

Too Pooped For Turkey Today!
just take it easy
I think this day is overrated. I think the most important thing is enjoying your family and giving thanks for whatever. When my kids was younger, I enjoyed cooking for them but theyβre grown and they can cook for me now. I really never liked the cooking for this one day and than it takes you hours to clean up.
Thanks, Royjr ! I love to cook, but since I'm the only one to cook for, I just decided that it wasn't worth the effort, based on how I felt today. No family or friends near me, so it's kind of a bummer for me this year. Yeah, I'm sure depression is a major factor in all of it, but hopefully I'll be able to get over it and move on to better times soon! I just have to realize that I have a lot to be thankful for, compared to this time last year. I now have a stable roof over my head, food and great docs and PT/OT therapists who care and are treating me with respect, while giving me the medical attention that I have so desperately needed for quite some time now! ππ
Hi donβt worry about it you can have your turkey any day. Do you know the pilgrims celebrated thanksgiving for 3 days you ask how I know that when you grow up in Massachusetts your taught that all the time.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING π¦ππ½

How are you feeling today? Blessings Jimeka π¦
Better, thank you, at least energy wise, but my right arm is bugging me. Stupid spazzms! π
Hope your feeling more energetic today. Enjoy your blessings. My family too is spread all over the globe so I'm here by myself for the time being. I went to a friend's mother's house and it was potluck. All the food was great. I made pumpkin bread and banana bread that didn't take too much effort but everyone enjoyed. Had left overs for lunch and dinner today. No cooking at all today so bonus!
Bamfan1442 Sounds like you have a great idea and will have a fine meal whenever you decide to celebrate! Thanksgiving needn't be limited to only one November Thursday!!!
bamfan, you must be an Alabama fan,i live in Tuscaloosa al, and you know what that means on nov 24th, roll tide, how exciting, I won't be thinking of turkey!
Well yes..no cooking at our home for TG! Picked up Bo Box of chicken & fixings from BoJangles...my son said it was the best Thanksgiving ever! Might have to roll with that every year too!
New tradition..
Blessings ya'll!
