Often, I plan my day and try to do too much, then feel guilty for not finishing. Yesterday, I planned to go to an exercise class but got sidetracked by some computer work and phone calls. I actually accomplished a lot, but did it all while spending the afternoon in my recliner. Physically, I felt good but emotionally I had to convince myself that it was ok, especially after I “woke up” and noticed the breakfast dishes were still on the table at 5:00.

Never feel guilty when you are doing the best you can!

Don't feel guilty. Lists are just reminders of what to do, but sometimes, life gets in the way! And then, there's always tomorrow.
Let someone else feel guilty! You have enough things to keep you occupied. Some days are just like that. Remember that dirty dishes and other chores are chores, you never finish.
I know how you feel my sink is full of dirty dishes I ask my husband to clean the dishwasher and I will fill it up. I try to put maybe 2 to 3 days worth into the dishwasher. I am very happy that this house has a dishwasher.
Ah, life with MS! We all understand!
I got over the guilt a long time ago. I get the important stuff done and I don't stress about the rest. I haven't done laundry in at least 2 weeks but will have to get it done sometime this weekend or I won't have any clean work cloths. Maybe I'll just stay home next week. No wait can't do that. I have a class to go to for work. I guess I'll have to just do it. I hate doing laundry.
Mssailor As greaterexp says, life with MS! We all understand! In truth, most of what doesn't get done today, can wait until tomorrow. It doesn't help to flog yourself. Hair shirts disappeared for good reasons!
MS teaches you that just about anything you think you have to do can wait till another time. Every day I have a to-do list, and the trick is to look at it at the end of the day and not feel guilty about all of the things I haven't done. When the guilt gets too bad, I lecture myself. It goes something like this: "You're still your own boss, and the world isn't going to come to a crashing halt if these jobs get put off a bit longer."
Thanks for all your encouragement. I am definitely my own worse critic.
