Was transported to rehab in the rain from Florence. No sooner was I in what will be my room, than pounding rain hit this very nice facility, followed by tornado warnings erupting on every mobile phone around. Immediately, everyone here assembled in a safe interior room, where we remained for many hours. Dinner concluded at 7, a little late for many patients. I was returned to the room I came from, and since then, nothing dramatic. Well see what tomorrow brings.

At least you are safe. Let’s hope Florence has settled down now. How’s the pain in the leg? How long will you be there? Blessings Jimeka x🤗
Jimeka As you know, broken bone pain can be borne, but pain killers are helpful. My last dose was ten hours ago, and I just received a dose of Tylenol. I have been in a wheelchair now for about 5 hours and must wait for help with changing and getting into bed. It is a difficult evening for the staff and I'm missing the fine hospital care I received. But, tomorrow will be a new day.
Good thoughts, many prayers all to keep you safe and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thank God for a safe place to ride out the hurricane! Keep us informed.
glad you're safe and in a good place
Remind me not to hang out with you goatgal 🤣 storms like to follow you. 😞 I'm glad your safe my friend! Will you have help when your allowed to go home?
Do you need assistance equipment? MSAA might be able to help. ☺️

Glad to hear you’re ok!
Thank you for the update. We can't help but be concerned when one of us is troubled or hurting. I'm glad to hear that you weathered the storm on your first night. I'll be praying you adjust well and that you get great care.
Greaterexp You are absolutely right. We AREall in this together - as MSers and family on the forum. I share only because there may be something in my experience that others can file away and draw from if needed. What it will take for me to get through this is positive attitude, determination, ability to ride out the bad moments and some painful hours. It would be dishonest to say that I dont feel pain, but a shattered left wrist with a years long recovery taught me that pain can be borne and compartmentalized. My ankle was broken and suffers pain, but I am whole, and stubborn (not for nothing do I call myself Goat Gal), and the essential me is not in pain. Linda
Your attitude is wonderful, and I am so grateful that you share that with everyone here. Getting through tough times is something we all have to face at one time or another, and I know how much it helps me to read here about how others tackle things. I love your name, by the way. It makes me recall the antics of our goats we had (Larry and Daryl, who were real Houdini types and rather athletic.) We had so many laughs over their stubbornness!
Feel better quickly, dear!
Glad you made it through the storm okay goatgal I'm sure when things settled down around there, things will get better. Stay safe.
Jessie
Hey goatgal,
Dinner and a show! What will tomorrow bring? They certainly keep you on your toes, not a dull moment. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a little more calm! Enough of all this Mother Nature theatrics!
All kidding aside, I am praying for your speedy recovery!
Keep Smiling,
Carole
goatgal I am so grateful you are safe and sound. Do you need help with your farm? Will your good neighbors care for all? Let me know. I could take a road trip if needed. You know I love you! Kelly
Amore55 Thank you for reaching out to me in the midst of your own upheaveal. The universe has blessed me with great neighbors. They are caring for the dogs, hens, and garden. You would, of course, be welcome to use my empty house but I'd much rather you come when I am there to meet and embrace you. I am working hard in rehab, learning how to deal with my new limitations but it will be at least a month before I can even think of going home. I embrace you dear Kelly. Thank you for being here in my life.
goatgal I would not want to impose, my concern was simply your situation. I am so happy you have such wonderful neighbors. Please remember that if you need assistance when you come home, I can always do a road trip to help you. I know you are like me and treasure your independence. But remember, we all need help sometimes. You know, I hope, that I love you dearly and will do what I can for you. Sending a big hug, Kelly xx
Amore55 a good friend like you, is more precious than all the gold in the world. We will get together I feel sure, and I will let you know when I need help. I promise!
