I am now officially qualified as disabled by the State of Michigan. Took awhile but I'm getting SDA (State Disability Assistance). Now I wait for the Feds to do the same for SSDI, been exactly 16 months since I applied for that. Got into an apartment that's income based but still hard to live on my Disability Assistance. Moving forward now after being homeless on the streets for 10 months. I have a blog where I wrote about my experience. It's on WordPress, message me if you would like to read it! π
Finally!: I am now officially qualified as... - My MSAA Community

Yea! Good luck and hope you find a good social worker who can help fill in gaps so the money you do get goes far. Take good care and congratulations

Thatβs Great π prayers are with you for getting SSDI π. Did you get food stamps from the state π€·πΌββοΈ. It will be great to get back payments from government, that will help some. Get with MS One on One and they can help finding grants for drugs π. Apply also for cooling vest and any help with medical supplies π. Good Luck ππππΎ. Ken
Congrats! I think? I remember your posts about this process, and Iβm glad youβre on the other side of it now.

Thanks Jessie! I'm in Grand Rapids.
If you have Medicaid, you can call Michigan ENROLLS at 1-888-367-6557 to find out which doctors will accept your insurance. I know my ex had a different insurance once he got on Medicaid so you will have to contact them if that is your situation. Good luck in your search. Keep us updated when you can.
Iβm so very happy that you are getting some assistance. I honestly canβt imagine what you have been through. I hope SSDI comes to the proper determination quickly so you have more income and less stress. Please keep us posted.
