Don't you get sick and tired of telling people you are sick and tired? People treat me different if they know I have MS. Some people even back up like it is contagious. Sometimes I'll cough or sneeze just to help them back up a little more. I don't tell people anymore that I'm sick. No one really would come to help me anyway. Why bother explaining my situation. Isn't this cat sculpture interesting?

Ok I thought it was an elephant in a cage MsGelfling 😐🤣😂 My bad. 😞
I'm very sorry that people treat you that way! It's sad that people can be hurtful and helpful at the same time. If that makes sense. 🤔
People like that, I really pay no mind to. I really have no time for it.
If they want to know? Then I will tell them.
Otherwise, I'm using your cough idea! 🤣😂

I usually just tell people "oh it's just my MS acting up." I don't care if they act different - I am different. I have a disease they don't have. If they back up & act afraid I talk to them about it, it's up to us to get the word out & educate the public about MS. Knowledge is Power! The more people know about MS, the more funding will be available to help find a cure. Look at the progress with cancer, they let people know about it, & are getting more funding to help find a cure.
Very interesting sculpture. I just smile knowingly it really freaks people out, because I have a secret. But I am like that. f you do not need to know, you won't know.
I have found that silence is the best approach to my disease. Even the people that love me do not understand my issues. So, I prayed about it and realized that people with heart disease or diabetes do not have to make excuses for their limitations. The public hasn't been informed about illnesses like ours that present new symptoms daily and effect us in so many various ways. Ignorance is no excuse, but I have to let it go. Mindfulness has been a wonderful tool to block out the negativity.
It helps me alot to talk about my MS. There are somes days I wish this crap never came my way but I also know what I overcame and who was at my side when it hit me hard and paralyzed me. I talk about my MS freely to everyone and anyone. It seems that all my friends knew about this disease and I never ever heard of it until it hit my door step. I find it relieving to be able to talk about it. So if someone ever backs up from me because they feel it's contagious then I might chase them like the boogyman. 😅❤🌷
MsGelfling1, yip, many who haven't read, think it can be contagious...Even if it turned out to be im thankful for the hugs verses the move overs...It is me who do the elbow to elbow touch so I don't catch the latest flu/ cold and other stuff.I think its just the world today. Recently warned whooping cough is around and sheesh, the plague? All I know my good cells love to give and get hugs, love little kids who are the biggest germs I know.Oh and they puppy kisses...know where they have been!Sending you a hug...when they back up..as them what they have? arr arr arr....
