Seeing my neurologist on Wednesday and neurophysioterrorist ππππππππππ tomorow xxxx
Is that a true mistake Janet? Terroist? Are they that bad? I had my MRI last Sunday, in Hull a week ago. I have come to think that there is no care in the NHS. I was just a number, a piece of meat. The radiologist was awful. I was in the tube for 15 minutes before she spoke to me. She never introduced herself, asked me if I was ok, nothing. It was Sunday and she was performing as though she was on commission. I have waited a year for this scan I donβt think I will bother having another one. All they ever tell me is that I am getting worse. I donβt need a picture of my brain to tell me that. Sorry I seem to have got on my soapbox this morning. Back to you, enjoy your terroist. Donβt get too tired, Blessings Jimeka π¦ π«
Oh bless u hun that's appalling behaviour by the radiologist who sometimes forget they are dealing with people not numbers or meat on a slab! The physio is actually a really nice guy but after an hour with him I'm sore and achy but hey-ho π€π€π€π€π€. The patients I used to look after called the physio terrorists lol xxxxx
Between myself and my husband, doctor visits have become our entertainment. We try to make it fun by trying it new lunch places.
Janet, I hope things go well for you this week π. Are you looking at early retirement or still consider part time work π€·πΌββοΈ. I donβt have any doctor appointment till June π. Just getting new house arranged and getting ready to hang pictures π€ͺ. Now hopefully our other house sales quickly πππΎ Ken
Hi hun early retirement I'm afraid is happening all the paperwork has gone to the pension service so it's a matter of waiting. The occupational health physician said no to me coming back to work. He is a lovely man and he knows his stuff. He has filled in a large part of the forms and has obtained paperwork from Neurosciences at Royal Preston Hospital to send aswell. I'm a bit gutted but it is what it is and I'm hoping I can still work on an agency or staff bank basis so we will see. Thanks for asking and I hope the move went well xxx π
janetb1968 I take it you aren't fond of your physioterrorist?
Oh my goodness Janet! Today's visit sounds rather aweful! Does this person you referred to as a terrorist have MS by chance? If he/she doesn't I often wonder how they are able to understand exactly what we go through. Studying something in a clinic or through books, at school, or through interviews is completely different then having it and living with it day to day. If they haven't walked a mile in our shoes by experiencing it first hand they have no clue exactly what we must endure. Then if you add on top of that MS strikes each and every person slightly differently so there is no normal for MS. So, I wonder if they or how they could ever understand this complex, ever-changing monster we live with.π€π€ Fancy,
I am / was a physical therapist before I had to go on disability due to MS. There were lots of names for us. Physical Torture for one! Glad you actually like yours!
