Phantom limbs?

April 17 I was on the treadmill and felt my left arm go numb and the sensation of water running down it. I looked to where I thought it was hanging in front of me and realized it wasn’t there but holding on to the treadmill. It was so weird!

Now about once or twice a day I have the same feeling with my left arm or leg.

Has anyone felt this before?

I have had to be careful with my right foot as I don’t know where it is 🤷🏼‍♂️. I constantly have to think about it as I walk around and do things or down I go 😐. I think thru the years my mind has developed a sense of where my foot is 👍. The things we have to adjust to 😡, frustrating at times. 🤷🏼‍♂️🙏🐾😉 Ken

I've not had any limbs go numb like that yet. But when my hands my hands wouldn't behave and do what I wanted them to along with my whole world spinning everytime I barely turned my head was what got me started on the MS path. I'm still grateful for the nurse practitioner that I initially saw when I was having that first episode. Her first thought was to have me evaluated for MS. All the doctors thought it strange that she would jump to MS first with no one else in my family having it. Turns out she was right. The full fledged doctors jerked me around with the diagnosis for just shy of 5 years.

I get the feeling of water running down my legs often. It is so real I stop to feel it, but nothing is ever there! Weird.

StacyHayward I often get the feeling of water trickling down my legs. The first times it happened, I checked to see where the water was coming from. And sometimes, I have to think about where my foot or leg is...as if it had wandered off, away from me. It's not numbness, more like somehow I've lost the connection to it.

I get the feeling of water running down my leg & my back. My right leg will also go numb & I feel like I can't move that leg to walk. But once I start moving then the feeling comes back in my leg. Its not quite the same thing you are describing other than the water sensation. I hope you can figure out what it is.

I’ve never had that sensation on my arms, StacyHayward , but I often get it on my legs. Quite a scare! It feels as though I’ve wet myself and it’s running down my leg. It’s just another one of those MS sensory issues. Make sure you tell your neuro about this-especially since it is a NEW sensation. 💕

No water feeling, but cannot feel my leg or hand on left side. they often do not do what I want them to do. Every step is mental as well as physical. I need to know where my feet are going to land because I cannot feel them, I need to look at them to know where they are at all times. If I lose sight or get forgetful, or rush, down I go.
