It takes a long time these days, but I do find some satisfaction by keeping busy.

That's cool!! The last instrument I tried to build was a homework assignment in 4th grade. It consisted of a scrap piece of plywood, 4 or 5 nails inserted into both ends, and rubber bands strung across the nails. It was really crude looking and didn't work that great. I don't remember what I got for a grade for it.

So the thing is, I’ve always wanted to build and repair guitars, mandolins, bass’s, etc. I was all prepped to do it when I retired along with play a lot of golf. Being diagnosed at 60 and having a tremendous slide down in my abilities caused me to leave work at 61 and take a disability leave of absence. I’m trying to fulfill my dream in a short period of time because it’s getting very hard to do anything. Golf is kind of out of the question right now, but I can sit on my butt and work with my left hand. I’m a singer/songwriter still, although my playing has suffered quite a bit. I can still write songs. I’ll find a way to stay involved in music as long as I can.
My son love your work. He said it is phenomenal.
