I have that issue wen my fiancé is on the road working. I want to find a kid or someone that needs an extra few bucks to do chores but he says no.
If u r alone u may qualify thru ur state for help. I think if u call 211 in most states u get connected to a help line
Try contacting a local church, ask if they have those kind of outreach services. If they say no, ask if they can lead you in the right direction.
Callyo60, it's Fancy1959. You need to find some type of service oriented group that helps disabled and elderly people care for their homes when they are no longer able to. What pops into my mind is go to your local place of worship and find out if they have something or a club that helps assist the elderly with house work in yard work. I'm Catholic and I know for us it's the Knights of Columbus that offer assistance to people in their church that have need for it. I'm sure there are other community related organizations that might also help so just start calling your local magistrate if you're in a small town or perhaps judge-executive Etc and find out if there are any service organizations out there and what they can help you with. As far as Outdoors goes local Boy Scout Troop if there is one might adopt you as their ongoing service project and come by once or twice a month and clean up the yard by mowing it Etc. You could also call MSAA resources listed in the main page to see if they offered any services that could help. I know the national MS Society also offers assistance to some people and I have their number ingrained in my brain. Their number is 1 800 fight MS. I hope between these ideas you are able to find the assistance you need. I know the simple and mundane chores of sweeping and housekeeping can get extremely difficult for anyone especially with balance issues. I have a hard time vacuuming myself but luckily my husband has helped to fill in the gap and I'm blessed to live in a stable family that takes good care of me. Until we speak again please take care of yourself and I wish you the best of luck finding a service organization to adopt you and to help you with your needs. Remember together we are stronger! Fancy.
