My Husband and I traveled a lot when we worked - Tahiti to Europe and Hawaii to Bahamas. I am old with MS and it is quite an effort for me to vacation today, but we found touring the Utah National Parks in our car was quite doable. Has anyone had an enjoyable easy vacation that we might like to try?

Easy Vacation
@sueab I'm eager to hear responses as I find the change in routine of a vacation and travel is really challenging...π
This may be more than you are wanting, but my hubby and I and a couple of friends took a Viking River Cruise last Easter up the Danube. While they had excursions at each stop, they had "easy" variations on each excursion, so my friends could go off and do the regular excursion (more walking, more standing, more climbing) and we folks (some with walkers and wheelchairs) were taken by bus through the sites. And there were a couple of days that I just stayed on the boat and enjoyed the views while the others explored to their hearts' content. We saw gorgeous castles and topped it off with visiting the tulip fields in full bloom in The Netherlands. I totally enjoyed the trip and would do another Viking River Cruise in a heartbeat.
Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's magnificent
We have an RV and take our time on trips. I can still drive and my wife says I drive the RV better than the car. We tow our Jeep behind the RV which is easier than it sounds. The nice thing about the RV is you take everything with you. Also food is always available and so is the bathroom. We went to Yellowstone National park last summer. We only slept in the RV. We spent six days driving around the park. I did take my electric scooter with us. National parks have handicap accessible trail maps available, just ask the rangers. Also you can get a handicap access pass which gives you free entry into the park.
@RobertCalifornia - Believe it or not Yellowstone is on my Husband's bucket list. We enjoyed the Utah National Parks where we could drive to the outlooks and then get out of the car to take a look see. Are there auto routes in Yellowstone?
Sue it's Fancy1959. There are a lot of touring options across the country that you could take heart and driving wonderful sights and seeing them from the car. We drove through the Florida swamp turnpike at the bottom of the state and boy did we see the wildlife that lived in the swamp. You can drive through the Smoky Mountains and stop at Vantage points to take incredible pictures from. If you spend the night in Gatlinburg, energy permitting perhaps you could do a bit of shopping and bring back some souvenirs. Then drive across the mountain and you come to Cherokee where you can see Native American craft and lures. You could go to Branson Missouri and simply wait one evening to go to a rodeo event. The paces are fast there and the adventure High so take your camera and enjoy an evening at the rodeo. Energy permitting again there are lots of shop you could hit a few of them for souvenirs. I could go on and on but I'm sure others have also given you there suggestions so I'll stop here. I'm glad you haven't let this monster beat you sue. Remember we can outsmart the monster with the technology we have today and stay mobile and stay independent for many many years! Let me know how your next vacation goes. Take care until we speak again and remember together we are stronger!
Once a month if I feel good, my husband drives me to my sisters house and then she takes me to Bunco (a π² game) and we play along with 10 other women. Have dinner and laughs. But I need to pack. Itβs usually or overnight but sometime two nights. Pack and un pack, wears me out. Feel like at times I have to remember it will be a good time because Iβm going to be there with my sister and friends. Iβm going to be out of the house at least. Iβll start thinking positive thoughts right now. I donβt drive that is why my husband drives me to my sisters house. The game is always played at a different house each month.
