MS hug isn't being very nice to me today. Head feel like its in a vice, lungs and heart feel like an elephant is standing on them. both my arms feel like someone used them like a punching bag Maybe is should have taken the day off from work. I didn't realized it was going to be so hard to do anything today. Hey but i'm here at work talking with all my MS family and I don't feel like doing much today. I'm sure you all will help me get through the day. Quitting time is 340. Everyone has a great, blessed day.

I think we can all identify with you. I'm so sorry about the pain and discomfort of your "hugs." Have you found anything that is effective to relieve them?
I'll be praying for relief and that you can just use the time for recovery without too many demands.
thank you greaterexp, its not so bad when I'm just sitting. Man as soon as I start to walk and try to talk forget it. my words get cut off from not enough air, I start to cough like crazy. That makes me a little weak. I'm trying not to do too much walking but when your drinking a lot of water and hot green tea. For get it. bee line to the bathroom. haha. when I get off I'm going home and put on something comfy and take a nap. I'm happy my children are older, they can fend for themselves for dinner. They are usually pretty good with checking on me but when they see me come straight home from work and lay down they give me my space.
Thank you so far it's still hanging around. If I feel like this tomorrow I will be calling off work to rest. Just a walk to the bathroom or kitchen is a task, and I have a small house.
I experienced my first MS hug this past Monday Not fun at all!! Pray for your relief. Pam
Sorry I am too late to give you encouragement for your day, I hope your 'hug' has relaxed if not totally then at least somewhat. As a 40 yr veteran of MS and the 'hug' I have found lately that drinking lots of water and chewing an antacid have given me a little ease. I know it sounds way too simple and so non medical but after all these years I accidentally stumbled on to this for a little help.
MS hugs can be the end of the day for me! They are the worst. And to have a headache on top of it. Ugh I’m so sorry. I hope you you’re feeling better soon! If not please go get checked out. Make sure it’s nothing more than a hug. Praying for your relief! 🙏🏼
I hope you have some relief before the end of the day. My only MS hug was before I was diagnosed. Had the pressure and the heaviness and the tightness around my chest. Like an idiot I just continued working and when I got home I waited for my husband. When he got home I told him I thought I should go to the hospital. I had all sorts of tests run and the next day a stress test and nuclear imaging. My heart was just fine and that's all that was done. They did give me a nitro glycerine patch. The next day my head hurt real bad but my chest was fine.
Hi Lissa, I hope today is a better day for you. It’s so hard to be at work when your dealing with MS flares. Sending thoughts and prayers your way. Linda
Hello all i just wanted to give you a quick update. Last night was bad for me. I was very close to going to the hospital, but i made it through after coughing up two lungs and other things lol. I did take off work and rested. I'm feeling a little better. I will take the rest of the weekend to relax.
Thank you to all who has been sending your well wished and concerns. Your comments has touched me so and it has helped me to feel a little better if you can believe that. 😊
Like I said a quick update. I didn't want my extended family to worry if you didn't hear from me in a couple days. To those with no electric I pray that you will have it on soon and try to stay as warm as you can. Everyone thank you again. Sending you all blessings. Lissa
