Depression
Could be the weather. This bleary, snowy COLD weather is getting me down and is probably affecting others the same.
Maybe you need to eat some chocolate.
Midgey_Midge06 i was going to sleep, but Iona60 mentioned chocolate 🍫. I have the same problem with my right leg with the cold. It goes into a painful spasm, I end up putting heat pads on it. It's just from my knee down. I will join you in experimenting with the 🍫. We have just had a thunderstorm ⛈. We have got snow. The grandsons have been out throwing snowballs at each other, they were so happy. We even had blue lightening. Amazing light show. Blessings Jimeka ❄️
Mine is from my hamstrings down my calves. Makes it hard to walk

Hope this finds you doing better today. At your convenience would you please describe what your spasm feels like? I am experiencing an unusual feeling below the knee on down. My calf and foot feel like it is vibrating inside and my foot pulls down very tight, like a cramp. If I concentrate I can temporarily undue it. Do you think this is a spasm? Any input would be helpful. Thanks! ...FiddleStyx
Midgey_Midge06 I do hope you are on some sort of anti-depression med. When diagnosed, I was put on Cymbalta (I did not like its effects, of numbing me to everything, no laughing, no crying and other issues), After 18 mo., I took myself off of it, and had a really bad time with serious depression. I did not realize that it was so strong, that I needed something else to stop its withdrawal symptoms. (An LPN told me that it was created to keep patients on it forever!) Eventually, I asked for, and was put on Lexapro, with some Xanax to help tide me over until the Lexapro took effect. When I was feeling more in control, and at ease, I began taking only 1/2 of the Lexapro pill, and did fine. I had taken it several years ago, and was able to come off of it with very little problem. Please ask for something to help you through this. Most Neurologists insist that people with MS need an anti-depressant. You should not try to get through a bout of serious depression without some kind of help for it. Either your GP or your Neuro should be willing to call it in for you.
Thank you. Yes i am on prozac which has worked wonders for me. But some days i still get down and it is frustrating to me
Could be that you need a little more of it, or another medicine instead of Prozac? It's worth letting your doctor know, so he/she can work with you, to get it right.
I have been thinking abot getting something different than prozac but the trial/error part of switching meds is scary too.
I know what you mean. I asked for a different sleep med this week and was given 90 days worth of trazodone. Thought I had taken it before, but forgot anything about it. Woke up with a slight headache and some fogginess first morning. Will try it again tonight and see if it happens again. I think it's the one that caused me to have a horrendous headache on an earlier attempt at taking it. There did not seem to be any longer sleep from using it than for temazepam or even Xanax. It would be nice to sleep more than 4 - 5 hours a night! I follow a good sleep routine, doing everything I have ever heard of to help, but still not a lot of sleep. Who knows how good we would feel if we just had a few nights of a good long sleep!
I finally got switched to Zolpidem ER and its been the best sleep i have ever gotten. It actually works to keep u asleep. Maybe u can ask to try it?
I used to take regular ambien, but have not asked about the ER pill. The insurance coverage on new pills is not so good for me. Just had to pay a huge co-pay for my Tecfidera, which I am spreading over 6 months. I'm afraid to ask about a "new" med. May ask about it at my next visit. Thanks.
How are you feeling today Midgey_Midge06 ?😊 Hopefully better! Everyone deserves a blah day. As long as they come out of it😐 women!💕
