Let’s share some comfort recipes and find some new comfort foods. I’m looking for a chicken and noodles recipe. My auntie used to bring home-made noodles and make it when she came to visit. Any ideas?!

The pussycat is in charge of the remote?

Whenever I leave the bed, he either tries to sleep on the remote or the laptop.. little bit of jealousy going on there. I did post him for that pic though!

I hope you get many responses. I started my own cookbook of my family's favorites long ago when my daughter was still young. I knew that many of my mother's and grandmother's recipe were lost forever because they were great cooks who never wrote anything down. I include notes about each recipe. I send updated copies to my daughter, and when I visit, we make a few together. Many are those she remembers from childhood, but many are new.

I'm not sure how to attach a file from this page, but I'll try to post a few recipes somehow.

First and foremost I must tell you I can't stand the number one ingredient in this stew except in this dish. Go figure.

4 cans of good garbanzo beans with juice. People in NE call them chick peas

I pound of chorizo purchased at a butcher. The stuff bought at stores is just all fat and gross.

One large white or yellow onion diced.

As much fresh pressed garlic as you little heart desires. Salt & pepper.

Throw it all in a crockpot on low for 4 hours. My family likes it with French bread or tortilla chips.

Enjoy.

It's easy and low fat. Makes the house smell scrumptious. You can add cumin too if you like. It's spicy but not HOT spicy.

SometimesCrazy I’m looking forward to trying it. Will be going shopping today and we have a meat market just a few blocks from the house so will check out getting the chorizo there. Yum Yum 😋!!
