Overwhelmed

Anyone else feel like their bodies hate them? As if MS, thyroid disease and gastritis weren’t enough, now my blood pressure and cholesterol are skyrocketing. I’m so tired of things going wrong.

StaceyHayward it's Fancy1959 and yes I understand exactly where you're coming from. It seems like with MS one thing is never enough! I hate to hear of your additional issues such as your thyroid disease, rising blood pressure and cholesterol, and your gastritis! I too feel totally overwhelmed as I am dealing with secondary progressive MS, club feet, my mostly useless left hand, my extremely poor balance and bladder issues and now to top it off my right shoulder needs to have a reverse replacement. All we can do is pray with one another and pray for one another that this madness stops or at least slows down. Stay strong and remember together we are stronger. Also remember you are not traveling this path alone. Let's reach out and grab each other's hands and help each other climb over the obstacles that MS keeps throwing at us! I wish I were closer but know I am reaching through this Electronic Connection to give you a big hug and to grab your hand. Fancy......

Good grief girl! You’ve got it rough! I’ll invite you on my quest to locate Oz. Time for a body transplant!

If you're taking orders, I'd like a new brain too, StacyHayward . 😉

Really sorry to hear about your many challenges. Sometimes it seems like too much, doesn't it? Keep the fight in you. Praying your efforts to lower what you can brings about great results, but also acceptance if it doesn't. I often have to remind myself that acceptance is not the same as surrender. Hoping today is a better day for you! 💕

StacyHayward , I understand what you’re feeling. I think so many here do. The autoimmune button seems to get pushed, and the deluge begins.

I lately got the report that I have fairly severe osteoporosis. I’ve always been a light weight, but always on my feet and took my calcium supplements like a good girl. Now the very things I should do to fight it, like more weight bearing exercise, I can’t do or do safely when balance is impaired. When I discovered this diagnosis, I immediately said aloud, “You’ve got to be kidding!” Of course, I quickly realized that most folks here deal with so much more. But I was disappointed to have to add another issue to the list.

I’m sorry you’re faced with so many difficulties at once, and pray you will find the strength to deal with each one.

Exactly how I feel! I know lots of people have it worse but sometimes I’m fed up too! And tired of doing everything the doctors say, taking all the pills and shots just for new problems to arise,

StacyHayward oh Stacy I just want to give you a big hug. It's awful what ms throws at us, we could even start a competition to see who has the most ailments. I am only joking of course. It just seems as though there is no end to it all. More medication. In the meantime find something everyday that makes you smile. We should maybe start our own laughter club, get our endorphins going. Blessings Jimeka 🤗 🦋 🌈

Funny, greaterexp and jimeka ! 😂 I can't keep up with my calendar or schedule, but you think I can do the spreadsheet? No way! I thought you were tagged with it at one time, Erin, but if I haven't lost ALL my marbles, I think Karen-x said she'd take it on. 😁💕

Have you ever tried to do chair yoga ? I have MS the yoga seems to be helping me to the trials of all that is thrown my way. My Aunt was diagnosed in 1950 had always told me that we are never given more than we can handle she tought about dealing with this when I was taking care of her

I’ve not done much with yoga, but this week has motivated me to get back on the treadmill this week. It has felt really nice.

I sure want to try yoga, hoping my new med regime will give me the energy to go the half block to the gym and try it!

I have a DVD that's called "Yoga for People With MS". Some foundation mailed it to me. (Secret...the wrapper is still on it and I got it 3 years ago...)

Awe, sorry StacyHayward for all you are going through, it sure can be frustrating, that's for sure. I have been on the high cholesterol, higher weight roller coaster since my first back surgery in 1999. It just means we have to find a happy medium between all of our nutrition and dietary stuff. My weight fluctuates with the seasons.. Hang in there and keep on fighting!

I wish weight was a problem. At least the high cholesterol and blood pressure might make more sense. But I’m only 115 pounds! I’m good proof that being thin doesn’t mean being healthy! 😃

I so know the overwhelming thing! I thought surgery was gonna get my MS symptoms going but instead i got pnuemonia caused by stage 1 heart disease. It was like really?? I figure i will just get a tattoo of a ribbon of every color - get them all now before they give me the diagnoses
