Do not talk to yourself. It is not safe! LOL! If you have a smart dog it can be downright expensive and dangerous.
This morning about 8 am I was talking to myself and said a hamburger sounds good. Well I was working and couldn't go get it so I forgot about it. Unfortunately/Fortunately Willow (a.k.a. Miss Big Ears, Miss Chow hound extrordinaire, my service dog) who was snoring at the time not only heard me say the hamburger sounded good (she immediately woke up and looked at me) but she rembered 4 hours later when I got my lunch break. I said, Lunchtime! Well, she took off like a shot, went tearingdown the hallway and actually ran into the mudroom door trying to get to the car. I hobbled out to her and said what are you doing and she proceede to dog to me and tell me I had to go get us hamburgers because Ihad promised her one (I did no such thing!). When I told her no she looked like I had beaten her to death, took away her best friend and had been abusing her her whole life. Welllong story short the hamburger still soundedgood so I gave in and we went to McD's for a burger.
Never talk to yourself whent he dog is near! They will guilt you into doing whatever it is you were talking about that they want to do!
LOL. It was too funny.
Just glad I didn't say I wanted to take an expensive class or send her to the dog sitter (she loves hime because she gets to walk for hours every day and play with dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, ducks, and rabbits.)
