Erash, you have definitely earned "Artist of the Month"--even for the whole year! I so enjoy your creativity and the colors in your art! I think that you should start looking for a gallery to represent you!

Yes it is. I bought those adult coloring books a load of colored pencils because they are supposed to be calming and therapeutic but I haven't had the opportunity to use them yet! I find that creative writing is very soothing and calming to me. I am writing a book which I hope will be finished in a year or so. Please keep the beauty coming, my friend.

Very cool! What's the book about? Can we read it someday?

I write too...well, 3 unfinished novels and now that my attention span is diminished, I'm working on short stories.

I'm in a writing group that starts next Saturday

Very cool, Erash! I started writing poetry and short stories when I was 6. I co-opted one of my brother's books, an anthology of Edgar Alan Poe's short stories and poetry. I had already read and memorized "The Raven" before I ripped off my brother's book. Very dark stuff, but I lapped it up! Maybe it explains why I loved (and still love) The Doors and the Rolling Stones so much. Like you, I have unfinished novels that I started and just never completed. This one has the working title "Come and Walk With Me" and is sort of a personal memoir written from the point of view of a grandmother recounting her life to her granddaughter. It starts with what shaped me as a person; i.e. family influences and the craziness of the 60s and early 70s; my journey as a lawyer (nobody would believe the cases and clients I had, and ultimately my law firm that I formed with 2 other shareholders that 1 of those shareholders turned into a RICO enterprise and the biggest Ponzi scheme in Florida history; he is serving 50 years in federal prison), my MS journey to where I am today. I hope that this one does get completed and that I live long enough to complete it and hopefully get it published; this is actually going to be a real race against time because the cog fog is getting worse by the day. My neuro is sending me for neuropsych testing in November. I expect I will have full-blown dementia before long--then it's time to call in Dr. Kavorkian. I will never live like that. Enjoy your writing group and don't forget to share! Serenity and peace to you., my friend, and stay vertical! Sukie

Sukie427 what a fascinating story! I'd read it.

I used to be active on a website called Scribophile. I was in a group for memoir writers (1 of my unfinished 😊). I made some great connections with writers from all corners.

I think writing is good for the cog fog. Certainly helps me maintain some of my vocabulary.

Finish that memoir so we can read it 👍
