Has anyone, especially those with many MS years under your belt, ever experienced a complete remission of all prior MS symptoms?

I have to let you know I have not gone into remission, I was diagnosed with MS IN 2004.

I have not heard of anyone going into remission.

Are you asking if it can happen or asking "real" people?

I guess both.

Cool! I've never met anyone who recovered or was in remission either, in person or online, except @1RiskyRich who had a stem cell transplant a year ago.

I read Recovering From Multiple Sclerosis a month ago, very uplifting inspiring tales of people who follow OMS, many who have been "recovered" from MS for a decade (much like Dr J himself). Some on meds, some not.

Before that, I read a few books and posts about people in remission 2 years into following the Comibra protocol. I believe they were all DMD free also.

The next book I'm reading is When the Music Stopped, but I don't know if it's a remission story.

I would love to hear more stories, I know they are out there.

Karen-x some days I feel invincible and others I feel broken but even on invincible days there are tiny MS reminders.

Karen-x Hi! Miss talking! Anyway. I totally believe it can happen. I have seen things in this disease and others for 2 reasons. Sometimes those reasons combined. I totally believe in the power of the human brain when it comes to disease. Drs and people always underestimate the power of the human brain. Next, more so than the human brain. I believe in God and the power of prayer and his plan. When praying inside God's will. One can move mountains. His will is not for all of us to be cured. But some are the lucky ones. For so many different reason. I believe I am not. I believe that I have been stronger, more helpful and more available than I ever have to people in need the way I am now. Please do not take this the wrong way. Others it destroys or breaks down to far and it is his will to heal so they can share that story and help way more people than ever!

I know some of you think I am a nut job christian. That is ok! Sometimes I think I am too. It is just my 2 cents. I have seen people with stage 4 cancer and given 3 weeks to live. And all of a sudden all the tumors are gone! They go on to help so many cancer victims! I know of a couple MS patients that have evidence of MS left in their brain, but now show no symptoms and take no meds. Now they run support groups and help so many people locally with MS. I see these things as only being done by things way more powerful than we can fathom or understand..

Anyway, Good morning all! I love you!

Rob j to could be considered a but job Christian by many. Lots say im a Jesus freak but I'm proud to say they are right. I've known people that have experienced miracles. I experienced one first hand. To many it might not sound like much but I was cured of skin cancer on the side of my head. I had a biopsy and was diagnosed With squammous skin cancer. But when I went in for surgery even with the pictures they had taken earlier they couldn't find it. I had many people praying for me and nobody can tell me prayer doesn't work. The bible tells us in several places that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed and I. believe every word written in Gods word. I know I will be healed of this monster called MS. If not in this world the bible says there will be no sickness or pain in heaven. That we will have a perfect body. And i strive to hear the words welcome my good and faithful servant. Didn't plan on preaching a sermon but when we talk about Jesus and his ability to heal I get excited. I love and appreciate all of you. God bless.

My dad was a Baptist preacher and I was the typical preachers kid. Everyone always said preachers kids were the worst so I worked hard to live up to my reputation and did a stellar job for the1st 51 years of my life. When I worked for the devil I was all in. But in 2002 I gave my life to God and I owe him the same commitment. I will never give in or give up the love of Jesus Christ who saved me from the person I was. Have a great day and keep up the good fight. Love and prayers to all.

Hi Karen, I've had MS for 29 years and my doctor says I'm in remission. The only symptoms I have now are a little spasticity in my hips. I've had lots of vision problems and optic neuritis, and I used to use a cane/walker and needed chemo (Novantrone), but I made major changes in my life. I got a divorce and changed jobs, and changed my diet to vegetarian, mostly fruits and vegetables with some fish, eggs & a little cheese. My doctor thinks I'm better because of the Novantrone, but I think it's due to the reduction in stress and the change in my diet.

I in no way endorse etc so ask a doc but here is the story.Met a woman with progressive MS..husband had to carry her in at times etc and on a MS regiment. She is told not to have children and that is agony. She decides with husband to venture out.She got pregnant and the docs idea was the surge in homrones and luck?...symptoms gone, walking still some aches pains because her MS took its toll previously but she is a force of nature! She had a second babe right away about a year apart. She went back on meds when appropriate and first baby is almost 4?As of last year she was almost symptom free but....don't know how long, non of us do.This gives way for the new development of estrogen related meds. This doesn't mean the babies are all ok, mentally etc even though hers were normal as can be.I know one more mom that her best time was pregnant but baby has slow development....now is that because of the MS WHO knows. So as I state....these remissions I feel are not usual nor permanate. We have MS, period.Like the vit D trials.I have genetic d defiency which believed to have triggered ms with genetic tendencies.I started taking the D and stopped all signs of new plaques for over 8 years and now surprise....Talk to your doc, research......hope this helps.

After my first relapse, I went into remission for 4 years until I had my 2nd child and my husband had kidney failure. Since then I was having a relapse every 2-6 months. I became better after my husband had kidney transplant and I started Avonex. Then I had to sadly come off Avonex because white blood count was too low. I went on Copaxone. But I believe Christ kept me going from the first relapse and even now. They want me to try Ocrevus. The risks vs high reward. I didn't do well with Tysabri; BP went down to 60/40. I haven't been good with risks. My husband says it sounds very risky ; the infections and cancer risk. Greatly concerned.

My MS is triggered by stress. Now my eldest son has psychiatric and drug problems, I am not doing well. He drains so much from me and my husband. We notice I fatigue every time I have to talk about him.
