Sorry if I left any others out--be sure to let us know if you, too, are cyclers like jimeka , erash and Amore55 . CalfeeChick , I hope to hear that you are riding again, even if it means in a different form from what you are used to. π΄

Reminds Me of Jimeka, Erash and Amore54
Love it tutu, I thought for a moment you had drawn the picture. Thank you π π¦ π
Hey WAshingtongirl ,
Do stationary bikes count? Seems to be the only bike (like thing) I can ride these days.
Jennie62
jennie62 , I stopped by our free neighborhood 'gym' yesterday and checked out their equipment. I didn't go today, and may not make it tomorrow due to an outing with my mom, but I plan to go back and try the stationary bike. I have to use the recumbent. Can't remember why π³, but I wasn't able to use the regular one before. Legs don't move that way or something, but I think I'll try them both. Thanks! It's all due to your mention of this.
I'm so glad I had something to do with it! Sounds like you enjoyed the "free" gym. On Wednesday I go to see my PT and love his stationary bike! Can't wait to use it, has a timer and everything-lol. The one my dad let's me use doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it's closer than the PT's office.
π and whistles are nice, jennie62 . These are like that. I think you can regulate the tension through programming various 'rides.' I hope you enjoy your PT appt tomorrow. Do you go regularly?
Tutu, my bike is supposed to be assembled on Tuesday! I will post a picture as soon as it is done. I bought it in December when Amazon had a good deal, but then had to wait all this time. Very patient. But now I am very ready to try it out. Thanks for the great post π. Kelly
Didn't realize it hadn't been assembled yet, Amore55 ...but where's my head? (No marble jokes, Jesmcd2 ) I guess the weather in Utah hasn't been conducive to safe bike riding. π΄
WAshingtongirl You've reminded me to enjoy my trike today. The weather should be beautiful and hopefully my energy has recovered enuf from my week out of town.
Tutu, I don't know how u do it w/ all of your traveling!
erash l don't know how she ( WAshingtongirl ) does it either l would be sleeping for days!π΄
Good luck on all the bike rides!βΊπ
Jesπ
I'm wiped out, erash . I often exhaust myself talking myself into going at the first. But once I'm there, I'm happy I went. It's the getting there and back home that is so hard, and becoming harder each time. It takes me longer to recoup after every trip. Thankfully, the adrenaline fuels me for a while, but when I'm traveling on fumes, it's much harder to push through. I finally unpacked my bags. Just walked by and looked at them for days. Not me at all, but guess that's the new, new me π
Was it a fun trip or time visiting your parents? That didn't come out right...but you know what I mean. π
WAshingtongirl
Visiting parents. Dad had another lung biopsy and mom has a very serious hip problem π
Sorry u feel the post-travel fatigue too...but at least I don't feel as wimpy.
What's the saying, "better to wear out than fade away"
I love your last line, erash . I'll have to remind myself of it when I feel worn out.
I'm sorry to hear about your parents. Perhaps being in the healthcare field you anticipated this in your future years ago. Not me. Naive, I guess. But we are at the age now and our parents need us. I don't know about you, but MS complicates things. It takes a lot these days to be there for someone else and be what they need when we ourselves lack energy (and mental acuity).
I hope you don't have pressing demands and can rest up as needed. π
I am sorry also erash l know l have been very lax on my emails. The drama never ends here. And with my mom it's always drama. So lm just trying to agree, then disagree when l hang up. I'm also trying to change the way l put things to her. To make them her ideas, instead of mine.
My prayers are with you and your family π
Jesπ
Jesmcd2 sounds like we have very similar moms. I'm very glad you don't have to live with her
I'm sorry jennie62 ππ’ ~hugs~ for you! I did with the girls for about 3months. I had a nervous breakdown π l feel your pain my friend!π
erash it's really hard when our parents get to the age we don't want to, and it's only around the corner really. I am sorry what your parents are going through, being in the field that you have been in you know all the ins and outs. I know when my parents went through it, it was harder for my sister being a doctor than it was the rest of us, as we could take it a face value. So hang in there and try not to over question everything. Blessings Jimeka big hug x
As I told Iona60
I'm writing/editing a book, Parenting your Parents for Dummies π
No doubt many of us can write a chapter for this book...
Are you really, erash ? I don't know how you find time between all of your volunteering, bike riding, etc...
WAshingtongirl nah...it's a joke (even if not much of a joke) π
But I did just receive a request to review an article on MS for a leading NURSE PRACTITIONER journal. There's a 2 week turn around so I better get busy π
I haven't done a review for this journal in awhile so it was a surprise!
I'm still riding my bike!
