Anyone taking coconut oil? It was recommended as a possible help for my stomach trouble.
On a side note, the more I look into it, it seems the majority of MS patients eventually end up with stomach problems. Has any formal research between MS and stomach problems been done? How many of you have problems too?

@StaceyHayward, I use coconut oil only for cooking; this is recommended in the Wahls Protocol diet. I also use it as a butter substitute with some veggies(squash, sweet potato) since I don't eat dairy. I don't know about consuming it by itself. You might try coconut milk, according to Wahls it is supposed to be very good for gut health.
I don't know about the prevalence of stomach issues with MS, I only know that I rarely have any stomach problems since I gave up gluten & dairy & cut way down on sugar.
There are some stomach problems inherent in MS but they include constipation an fecal incontinence. I've not read about associations with other GI conditions?
Wahls protocol emphasizes coconut oil because of the MCT medium chain triglycerides (I think) that benefit nerv function.
Man, Erash, your knowledge never ceases to amaze me. Good to know about coconut oil! Maybe it's time to research MS and other gastro issues to see if there is a greater connection. Not that I'm trying to place blame on MS, just curious since it seems to be so prevalent. Incontinence has already started rearing its ugly head years ago.
