48 years old, coming up on 10 years of having MS. My neurologist doesn't classify what type. Currently living alone in my new condo, in a power chair 90% of the time. Doing Rituxan.

Welcome cnichols . A new condo sounds great, but a power chair and rituxan sound like a challenge. We're happy you found us.

Thanks. Condo is great, has wide doorways, got grab bars in shower. Chair gives me freedom. We have an ADA paratransit bus which picks me up at door takes me places for $3 on way. I have no issues with Rituxan, had no reactions at all. Hoping it keeps me out of the hospital/rehab/skilled nursing facility this summer. Spent summer 2015 and 2016 doing that.

It sounds as though your new condo perfectly meets your needs. Happy the rituxan works well for you too.

Thanks, know way to much about this disease. My older brother had MS too. Great to be part of a supportive community.

Your knowledge and experience may be so helpful to many. I'm 68 and just went numb last summer. I was given DX in December, but have been on this site for months.. no stage given yet. Will look forward to seeing you here.

Rituxan has been great, no issues during infusions. Think it helped me bounce back faster from latest flare.

@jescd2. Heard about the group from an MSAA email. I live in Oak Forest, Illinois suburb of Chicago. Condo is perfect for the cat and I , we love it. Right behind a grocery store so when weather is nice I can go in my chair to pick up groceries.

~sigh nice weather~ oops you were saying cnichols ? Sorry l got sidetracked.😅 Sounds like your condo is totally convenient for you! Being as independent for as long as any of us can is always a great thing!

One of the reasons l moved here was because my PCP is right next door, and before l had jello legs, l could walk to the store and pharm. Now l have to get a ride, and my pharm will deliver if l need them to☺

Stay warm! And what kind of cat do you have?

@jesmcd2- I am all about being independent, I am giving my niece who just bought a house my washer/dryer and got front loading machines so I could do my own laundry. Great thing living by a big city, Chicago, is the paratransit bus, $3 each way takes me everywhere I need to go, helps me be able to have a life. My brother and sister are awesome, always willing to help but I like being able to do stuff on my own. Aja is a 15 year old Calico, super sweet and actually listens. Weather here this weekend is suppose to be mid 50's and sunny. Can't wait to be able to open sliding glass door.

cnichols l would say send it here, but we need rain and/or snow bad. Otherwise we will have drought conditions again this yr.😞

Those washing machine and dryer sets are awesome! I had a set another lifetime ago.☺ I hope you like them.

Cats are awesome! We have alot of cat people on here! You should post a picture of him! We would love to see it!☺

Older siblings? Younger? I'm nosie.😅 Naw just curious. I have 5 younger brothers, want any? Will give you one, or 5 😁😅
