Hi my name is Anita and I have been living with this s&(&&y disease for going on 16 years! Needless to say I hate how it has affected my life socially, professionally and personally! The only good thing about it is that I wasn’t diagnosed until I turned 50 and was put on a therapy right away. If I had been diagnosed in my 20/30’s when I was raising my children, I would have had it much harder because there were no therapies then. I retired on disability at 62 but went back to work (self) parttime cause living on a fixed income is HELL😩! What keeps me going is my grand kids and my scooter😂

Welcome to the group Buma1951 It's great to have you here, sorry for the reason. This is a great group of understanding people. Feel free to vent if you need to, post photos of the grandbabies, ask questions, or just share what's going on in your life.

Welcome and thanks for your picture with your beaming smile. We become family here very quickly, so it’s nice to have a face to go with the names.

I hope you find as much support here as I have. Because you’ve dealt with this disease for quite a while, you’ll have lots to share.

nice to meet you, welcome to a wonderful group of people ~terry

Buma1951 Hello and welcome to our site. Sorry I'm a bit late in welcoming you. I can't quite read what you are pointing at on your shirt, but it's a lovely picture and I love your fuzzy slippers. I wear slippers most of the time and am always looking for new ones. Back to welcoming you, we are here for you. Please feel free to read along, join in chats and ask questions.. There is so much experience on this forum and amazing amount of information here at Healthunlocked and on MSAA. We are not doctors, but there are some amazing people here that can help find information.

Aren't grandkids wonderful, we are a blended family with 8 grandkids from 4 yrs to 25 yrs old. Glad it's them getting older, not us! We have 1 huge black and white kitty that we rescued over 6 yrs ago. He is my constant companion. Welcome, Anita!

Thank you Calfee Chick! My shirt says “I’m Retired” which I was in 2015 and ended up working as a contractor with the company I retired from!! I’m happy to be a part of this group!!
