Oh Karen-x I am so sorry, I know what you must be going through, I dread the day. A big hug from one dog lover to another, you must have some terrific memories. Hang in there Karen, praying for comfort for you, blessings Jimeka
Thanks Love. I do have great memories. He was my best dig EVER! Before I met my hubby he slept in my bed and I spooned him. Lol. I know lots of people will think that's gross.
Razor sleeps on the end of my bed every night. It started 11 years ago when my son first got him. My son was working away and he had only had him 2 nights. He was only a little thing I could hold him in the palm of my hand . My son asked me to have him for a couple of days, so I asked what happened at bed time. So my son replied that he slept at the side of his bed in his basket. So as not to break Razors routine I did the same. I already had a bichon freise that slept in basket downstairs but Razor never went home. He has been at the end of the bed ever since. My family can't believe it, as they call me miss super clean, so I understand. What did you call your dog?
His name was Berkeley.
Karen-x , I am so sorry. What a big love he(?) must have been. Keeping you in thought and prayer today. I hope tomorrow is a little better for you. πDawn
So sorry to hear you lost your best friend..... May he RIP....πΎπΎ
π’so sorry Karen-x
Someone once told me the only flaw dogs have is that their lives are too short.
So sorry for the loss of your best bud Berkley. Hugs to youπ
Awwww Karen-x lm so sorry π₯ To lose your best friend is heart breaking. And if your any thing like me, your gonna see him out of the corner of your eye for the next few days. But time heals π They say there's a special place for animals, when they pass. I truly believe that π

Such a beautiful animal, I am sure it was a comfort to you. Sorry for your loss.
It is so difficult to say goodbye to our animal friends... I've had to help 3 (so far) cross that rainbow puppy bridge, and it NEVER gets easier... That said, I have 3 now who needed me, and I embraced them anyway because there is NOTHING like pup love!!! I can completely and entirely count on their love, support, companionship, and company in every situation--pretty or ugly. Life would NOT be worth living without my pupz!!!
I hope that you will find another pup... Life is not worth LIVING without PUPZ!!! xo Cj
Thanks ddeadred I am an animal lover. I have two other large dogs, a black Shepard and a gray Newf. The Shepard is old too and soon we will be saying good bye again. The Newf is just a pup with lots more years of love.
Karen, so VERY sorry for your loss. My hubby and I have 5 doggies, including a puppy we rescued a month ago, a little border terrier. We lost a cairn four years ago and like Jes said we still see him run across the yard! May your heart be comforted with all the loving memories of your big love. You will be in my thoughts. With love, Kelly xx
Thanks Amore55 I am so glad to see you back. Was thinking of you. I have lots of wonderful memories. And thank God for him while he was here. I have 2 other dogs to love and goats, chickens, cat, etc.... However, I loved Berkeley like no other. He went through lots with me and was always there with love. No fuss, no issues, just love and the best companion ever!!!
I am very sorry for the loss of your best friend. Dogs are heartbreakers, for sure. I had a Lab a little over 10 years ago (Simon) that my husband rescued as a puppy. He died of a rare disease in which there is no cure. To this day, I cannot watch any Lab movies without crying my eyes out. However, I got a springer spaniel (Trixie) 6 months after Simon died. That dog did help pull me out of my depressed state. She is 10 now and one of the best and loyal dogs ever. Always by my side and very obedient. Trixie is my girly girl that loves to cuddle with me. She's a dog that should have been a human, lol. I am not looking forward to losing her.
Donna
Thanks Donna. Losing our animal friends is devastating. Its hard for non-animal people to understand. Your Trixie sounds like a treat!!!
Hi Karen, it seems a weak question to ask how are you doing? It's good that you have 2 more dogs to cuddle. I know when I lost my little bichon, I had Razor, it helps. We buried her in our garden near the front door so I can see her spot. I often go out there and garden around her, plant pretty flowers on top her, and while doing so talk to her, she was a gem, but that was over 8 years ago, time goes on but memories never fade. Stay strong my dog loving friend, there are many people on here that can empathise with you. Big hug, blessings Jimeka
We buried Berk at the top of the field he loved running in and sniffing out deer. The other two dogs do help. My granddaughter asked today if we can bury our other dogs next to Berkeley when they die. I told her I didn't know if we would still live here, and she cried out, we can't leave Berkeley...made me π
But I'm OK. My pain will learn to live in the background.
She is! She helps me around the too, it's awesome. She will take you socks off and put them into the washer as well as pick up my husband's socks and put them in the washer. Gets me my slippers when I'm feeling lazy or when she wants to go out. Then will entertain us by playing volly-balloon by herself. These are all things that I had shown her only one time. I wish I could post a picture.
