Praying for Indian summer π
i bet she is very excited to be able to get one ...wow...
Hunting starts around December 1st here. We already have a room set up for our fearful Boxer Maggie Mae O'Hollaran, full of pillows to muffle the sound. After all, there is a 10 pointer on my property, and he's coming home!
Congrats to her! I've never hunted but would love that meat in my freezerπ
I thought that elk was walking by!
Omg I need sleeep.
One of the worst meals I ever had was an elk steak.
I know what an oak plank tastes like.
We don't have much elk hunting in AR but a lot of deer hunting. Bow hunting opend at the end of Sept. I'm not a fan of deer meat cuz I grew up in So CA & we didn't deer hunt in the city. Hope you get your indian summer.
I could go for a deer steak right about now, but not if I have to kill it first. I just want the finished product on my plate.
I did go out with my dad a few times, but I just sat there hoping that I wouldn't see anything. He finally stopped taking me. My cousin had a 10-point buck in her sight the first time her step-father took her out. He's practically jumping up and down in his excitement...and she just kept watching the buck until it walked away. He was furious with her, but the rest of us thought it was pretty funny.
I miss hunting. Now I hunt for sales at the grocery stores, and my camping which I did upnorth essentially every weekend almost for 30 years is limited to backyard campfires.
Nice deer
