Hi bxrmom i do most of my stretching after my work out. Prior to I warm up with 10 arm flaps (looks a little like the Olympic swimmers do before they jump in), 10 air squats, 10 side lunges, 10 leg swings, 10 hip circles and a plank to remind my core to be engaged.
At first I thought this would tire me out too much to then actually exercise but it's all done loosely to kind of "oil" the big joints.
I end my exercise with yoga type stretches. These help me a lot with low back and neck pain and spasticity. I never hold the stretch as long as I should but at least I'm getting something out of it.
I'm an exercise fanatic if you couldn't tell 😉 Always have been and although I've had to accomodate(trike instead of bike, elliptical instead of treadmill due to balance and no more long distance running), I won't let MS take that away from me 👊
