I have cervical & lumber spondylosis, I've now got a lot of new symptoms & not sure how to deal with them? I went back to my gp last week, his going to start the ball rolling to be re-tested as my symptoms are worse now? I've now got balance issues my legs are going everywhere, I've lost control of them, bladder & bowel at times too, I have also have weird headaches, neck is so painful , it's going down to my shoulders to middle of back atm, my neck cracks, numb feeling on face, ears blocking, blurred vision, my head feels like it's spinning, cold freezing over head on one side! Sorry for the epilogue explaining all this, anxiety really high too! I'm house bound atm too, any advice would be appreciated thankyou....x

Hi there!

We see this a lot, I was misdiagnosed for 3 years. I will say I haven't personally witnessed some of the symptoms you have, I am very sorry to hear you are going through this.

While you are waiting for your GP can you tell me what the doctor is saying at this point?

There is a plethora of information on our website that may help myelopathy.org. We also have a Facebook Support Group called Myelopathy.org Support Group.

Please ask any questions, however please understand that I am not a medical doctor, I am someone with Myelopathy trying to support other with Myelopathy.

Thank you,

Sheila

Hiya Thank you for your reply, all this started 5/6 years ago after I shattered my humorous bone, severing my ball joint clear off the humorous bone which then split down the middle like a stick of celary! The Dr having been in a&e for over 20yrs had never seen a break like it! I had to have metal plates & lots of screws to mend my arm, I complained about my neck pain which they said could have been to do with my accident, weeks later I was sent for an xray, then a more detailed xray, after that I had to see a specialist who confirmed I had cervical spondylosis, at the top of my spine I have round ball, which makes my head look down & all I see is my feet & the ground, no matter what I do, my head won't stay upright now! I've tried neck braces but they don't help me! Ive now got lumbar spondylosis to add to my list of health problems! Went to my Drs last week & were starting the whole process again! I'm just fed up with being in constant pain! I go dizzy, awful headaches, loose my balance, I seem to stagger instead of walk now! Sorry for the epilogue! Xx
