Hi everyone
I hope everyone is doing well. I haven’t posted before but read a lot I read posts and comments which has been a great help!
I recently had an appointment with a neurologist at the NNUH with a numbness in my outer left thigh and burning /throbbing feet especially at nights . My appointment was over in minutes he referred to my mri if my brain/cervical region which was taken in 2019 I think another was just of my cervical spine region in 2015 ! I was told there was nothing of concern and my “brain was playing tricks on me!” This has bothered me! I’be had my feet looked at privately as I have large bunions and have to walk with my toes trying to grip the floor (if that makes sense?) I just wondered if anyone else had had these symptoms and what can be done about it and is it cause for concern?
Thank you
Lynn
I have had problems with my feet, burning, throbbed to the point of me putting ice bags on them at night.
My pain settled down after my C5,6 decompression was done. I have had 2 fusions and suspect the 3rd to be coming soon as I am having foot pain again. I will certainly check back with you once we go over my MRI results.
Thank you Sheila for your reply. Like you I think I should’ve had a recent mri for my neurologist to look over.please let me know how you get on it would be appreciated and helpful as I’m left confused! Best wishes
Lynn
Hi there, I have Cervical Myelopathy and had two operations c3c4c5 fused but still struggle with things . The operations are to stop further progression but if you have had it a while you just have to manage the best you can , but if you suspect things are getting worse talk to your Dr or neurologist .
Thank you for responding Byron after re reading my post I must be confused! The MRI was 2009 (I had my fusion in 2010) not 2019 . So yes that’s why I spoke to my doctor unfortunately an MRI wasn’t arranged and my feet are unbearable at times especially in the evenings. I know it’s a struggle with cervical myelopathy and wish you all the best.Lynn
