Lip skin looks odd

My lips used to be severley chapped and I did used to pick and blah blah blah. For months tho I've drank water bit the lips still seem to be dry, a dent in the upper lip makes it look like a piece of my lips are missing and they just look off. I've exfoloated and aplied vaseline lip therapy but to me still look weird. Especially the xolor of the top lip

Maybe check with GP in case infection is involved?
