need some advice? when i first had acne i was put on zineryt (erythromycin), which i was on for two years straight (2012-2014) , but it stopped working as i became resistant around the second year i was on it. I've been off it for three years and nothing else has worked as well for me so i'm wandering if it might work for me now or whether i'm still resistant to it even after these three years? i was wandering if anyone has gone back onto a treatment that they were once resistant to?

I think I would try it again on a small area and see if it is effective, it's worth a try!

There are other prescription treatments if you find erythromycin is no longer effective. I was advised to take antibiotics for 3 months then have a break to help prevent them becoming ineffective. You might find you have a period of no acne breakout and can then restart if necessary. 😊
