Hi,

Have justbeen diagnosed with this condition on my scalp and hope to have it treated along with a basal cell carcinoma shortly at st george's Hospital Tooting. All caused by exposure to the sun. I forgot to ask the very helpful dermatologist who diagnosed me yesterday if removal of the scars from my scalp would involve hair loss-ie does freezing tc involve shaving the scalp or damaging hair growth,. Any helpful advice much appreciated.

Maybe you could contact the very helpful dermatologist and ask before you have the procedure? My Dad has had two basal cell carcinoma removed but both were in places that he no longer has hair so I don't know if it would have affected hair growth.
