I have red dots under my skin. Best described as little clusters of veins. Any clues what it's called? Face + hands most affected.

Hi,

These are probably so-called spider naevi. These can be just one of those things, but can also be associated with pregnancy, and other a few other conditions. They are likely quite harmless and the treatment of choice is, once again, laser therapy. Be sure you go to see a Laser Specialist (specifically a Consultant Dermatologist) who will be able to confirm the diagnosis, discuss the need for any further investigation, and if appropriate, consider laser treatment for you.

Kind regards.

Hi SingingSteph, it could be any number of things. As markhp says it sounds harmless, but as it's persisting see your GP just in case.

Here's 2 links to some info on spider angiomas (spider naevi).

It is called telangectasias (not sure of the spelling) but they are veins that come up on the skin and not much you can do but have them lasered. I have them on my face , arms , and hands but pretty harmless unless you get ones that bleed you need to have it taken care of! Raynaud's disease is a factor in this but I also have scleroderma so not sure which one is the worse for it! Not pretty🙁 Hang in there😉 I've also picked up rheumatoid arthritis which is definitely the worse of the three. Take care👍
