The only way to stop your skin burning is to wear a high factor sun screen. You will still tan but the rays that burn don't get through to your skin. I have been treated since 1967 for sun damaged skin and wear factor 30 protection. I recently had a fully blown cancer removed from my shin and believe me it isn't worth not protecting your skin. You should put sun screen on before you leave the house in the morning, even if you are not going to lie in the sun. It should become part of your routine like wearing moisturiser all over.

Hi lifeiswhatyoumakeit03,

Second-degree burns (when the first layer of skin has been burned through and the second layer of skin has also been affected) usually heal without further treatment. Sometimes, the sunburn can cause permanent colour change.

As littlebirdiesmum says you need to protect your skin. Using a sunscreen and wearing a sun-hat if the weather is hot will help prevent your face from being re-injured.

Also, there are some skin conditions that can be triggered by overexposure to sunlight and sunburn. As you have had this problem for the past 2 years this might be the case. The best thing to do is see your doctor as you might need a skin biopsy to determine what the problem is.

Thank You all for your kind help... :)
