Navigating the holidays can be a unique (and often difficult!) time for those with OCD and related disorders. It's important to remember to take care of ourselves during this busy season, and a great way to start is by being gentle with ourselves. A good goal can be to try to show yourself as much patience, understanding, and empathy as you would a friend. See if you can challenge your inner dialogue to be kinder and gentler over the next couple of weeks!

Please share - how do you take care of yourself during the holidays? What tips do you want to share with the My OCD Community?

Thanks for this! I've often struggled during the festive season - a mixture of OCD and some negative memories of difficult family festivities.

I've found that not putting too much pressure on myself, getting present buying etc done well in advance, helps a lot.

Then just try to enjoy it! Happy holidays to all!
