Out of curiosity, does anyone recall the day their brain officially broke and OCD took over? I remember mine vividly—the first massive flood of anxiety, horror, sweats, and the instant weight of depression on my chest. I definitely had traits and occasional small compulsions before it hit full-on OCD but I didn't know what they were at the time and it certainly didn't occupy much of my time.

I remember approximately.......but it does not matter . The only thing that matters is to do CBT and to overcome this major problem .

Yup! April of 2010-I had a spiritual crisis that triggered my spiritual/existential OCD. I've never been the same ever since.

I'm not entirely sure if this is right but I believe mine was in 2018. That was the year when OCD completely changed my life when it took over but my symptoms started two years before. I wonder, if I'd gotten diagnosed would I be in a better place now? Nevertheless, I hope you are doing okay despite being quarantined.

Yes I was 6 or 7 years old. I was going to go to sleep one night when it hit me like lightening. Guilt, terrible anxiety, panic, etc. Never the same since that.
