Sorry to hear you're in Pain. I was having similar Pains behind my Eyes. I put it down to Dry Eyes - for which you can get drops from the Chemist.

I mentioned it to my Dr. during a phone consult. He said if I was having Pain on either side of my Nose - especially bad during a Cold/runny nose - it was most likely Sinusitis.

Since then I have noted in my Pain Diary it does occur more when I have a Head Cold or when having very poor/interrupted Sleep. My problem is that I tend to lift my Tablet or Phone and come on Sites like this. Unfortunately that's the worst thing for Sore Eyes - even on Nite-View, because of the flickering screen (it's not noticeable).

Best cure is to cover your eyes with a clean damp eyepads - the wee blackout lads with an elastic band you get on a night flight - and try Breathing/Relaxation techniques.

If that's Not working, then a boring book, reading by moderate - not too bright, but not dim enough to cause eye-strain - will normally relax your Brain enough to start the Sleep process. When that happens try to read a bit past that, to the point where your Eyes are closing. Then Relax back in bed and think about what you were reading. Because of the continuation of thought you should move slowly into Sleep mode and, with luck and fair winds, wake with so much dry stickiness.

The Cold/Coolness that you feel is likely cool air that you feel, much the same as water on your skin. It's also possible that you sleep with your eyes slightly open.

Now I am Not an Expert in Eyes - but I have had similar problems. If you are still worried, then you should definitely see an Optometrist for an Expert opinion.

Best wishes,

Kiéran P&L

Thanks so much for reply, sometimes it's difficult to comprehend a lot of the symptoms that come & go with fibro, but every little piece of info and reassurance makes such a big difference. have a good day

I have those symptoms too when my eyes are really dry. I use Occusan drops. Need prescription for these or you can buy over counter but they are expensive.

Hi Miley21, thanks for your reply, can you tell me a bit more about Occusan? Do you get nerve pain around your eyes & forehead and flickering eyelids when you try to close your eyes?

have a nice day
