Yes I've had it for 4 years now. It was basically my 1st symptom. Not as severe pain as it used to be due to meds & physio. Lot of mine is tension in trapezoid muscles. I do exercises that relieve it from gripping down on me. See if you can get rehab to learn exercises to help alleviate or decrease your pain. Tai Chi might help you too. I enjoy it : )

Can SO relate! You are probably having TRAPAZOID MUSCLE pain....I have this & it extends from your neck down to under your shoulder blade. Do snow angels like you did on ground as a kid but do them facing a wall. Do them slowly at first and in little strokes making small wings. Then as you feel able make your wings larger with bigger strokes. This helps all of the upper quadrant of back and neck too. 2nd exercise to try is stand in a door way and act like you are doing a pull up from frame of the top of door. This will pull those muscles and make them stretch back out. I have problems with my muscles constricting but them not retracting. You need to learn ways to make them relax and retract!!! A chiropractor or physical therapist can give you other exercises to try. You can google internet for FREE TAI CHI Qigong which are gentle movements that Mayo Clinic told me to do & they are easy and very relaxing so get to it what are you sitting there waiting for? You will feel better at an attempt. What works for me may not work for you. It took me years of agony and trial & error but I am getting better!!

Good to see they may be a light and the end of the tunnel, thank you.I still cannot believe that this much pain is due to fibromyalgia,I thought I had a serious disease in my lungs lol.

What I find is you will just start getting "used" to the pain in a location. Then it moves to another spot and you start the process ALL OVER AGAIN!!! So very frustrating & a helpless feeling too. You are not alone......
