99% of the time I sleep on my left side. One early morning my right whole arm completely started to hurt, ache , and numb. It felt so heavy. All I can think was to get body oil and just massage my whole arm until the pain was going away. Now and than my wrist hurt since my arm incident. Has anyone ever happened to you or anyone you know?

Whole arm went numb
j used to get the numbness with both arms and couldn't move either of them unless it was involuntary then I would hit myself in my face with the email. this was due to my neck back then. I think you should get the doctor to have a look. I'm not saying it's what I had or have but numbness I feel personally should be checked out the. but I'm not a doctor. hope this helps.
I have recently found out that have osteoarthritis in neck and collarbone wake up every day with pain, however purchased 100% buckwheat pillow on Tuesday and although I still have pain and my arm sometimes has a mind of its own the difference this has made is unbelievable. I never feel like I have had a sleep when I wake up in the morning so far there has been 1 day when felt really tired, try one of these you can mould them too support where you need it. Any things worth a go if it helps.
You know that could be the problem because I have this special pillow that comes in a round plastic sleeve and when you open it, you have to leave it for 24 hrs to complete adjust to a normal size to fit me and also keeps my face cool. I must of switched pillows without noticing and woke up with this plus I have have arthiris in my back and that could of casue it. Have a good day. Thanks.
Good morning, I have experienced this twice this year and in my opinion, save your oil. Massage and oil won't make a jot of difference. Pain, numbness, tingling, burning, itching and lots of other sensations will come and (more importantly) go. Sometimes they last longer than other times and you can only hope they go away quickly and wait, uncomfortably, until they do.
We have a problem with the way our brains and nervous systems process pain so, any sensation we feel, is not necessarily a physical one and can be caused by depression or anxiety, so worrying about it, will simply prolong it, making it harder to handle.
The way I have started to cope is believing that my brain/nervous system is tricking me, telling me I have (for example) pains in my legs, then its my job to work out what and where it really is. I think of things that make me sad or anxious and and try to put the pain back where it belongs. It works sometimes, but to be fair, in the time it takes me to work out what might have caused it, the pain has eased anyway.....who knows?
My understanding of it, helps me and I hope it helps you.

Thank you for your help. I know that I have wear and tear on both of my shoulders especially because I'm ambidextrous. This was a one time only and I hope it doesn't come back because it scared the ( you know what) out of me.
I fractured a shoulder and had a torn rotator cuff, cracked clavicle and other damage caused by my dog pulling me into a tree, at speed, then when i fell down he dragged me across the field, following the scent of a BUNNY!!! lol
It happened in June and I was only sent for an xray two weeks ago so now nothing can be done and I still have a lot of restricted movement and pain.
On the other side, I have cervical spondylosis and experience a lot of pain in my neck and tingling in my hands.
However, the numbness we talked about earlier was totally different and a bit scary, but hey ho, try not to get too anxious as that can make your symptoms worse.
