I've had swollen feet and ankles for years now esj20. It's important to find out thhe cause of the cause of the swelling. A build up of fluid (edema) can be anything from a problem with the veins to a problem with the heart. I have the 2nd and take Furosemide, (commonly known as water tablets) which make you pee more to try and get additional fluid out of your body. TELL your doctor that you want tests to identify why you have the swelling, it's very important. Good luck 😊

My husband was diagnosed 14 years ago, and has recently developed oedema I his feet. His condition has badly deteriorated lately and he is unable to walk, apart from shuffling a few steps, so wears compression socks, which manage the problem.

Hi Singing Fan, can I ask has your husband ever been told that his vitamin B12 or Folate Acid levels were low.
