After a recent post by myself about CPD oil I have decided to share some findings and observations.
I have spoken with a knowledgeable GP and a few other healthcare professionals.
Sue and I decided to try the oil and I have found it is easily available. It's available in various strengths and flavours by lots of different companies.
We tried non-flavoured medium strength and changed to flavoured as the taste is not that great.
The first observations were it helped greatly with the shakes, which are getting very aggressive and Sue felt "great". The initial dose was a couple of drops a couple of times a day.
However
After a few days, Sue started feeling "odd" as if she was overdosing on Fentanyl ( which we have had before!) and i noticed her heart rate had dropped to below 60 when it's normally high 80! So we stopped the dosage and tried again at a lower dose a few days later.
The lower dose was OK but the changes started to come back again. At this point, I had done even more research and had an open conversation with a GP.
Conclusion
CBD oil has an interaction with many drugs that Sue is taking such as Fentanyl, Gabapentin, Lansaprasole, Heart Tablets and more. Please be very very watchful of changes.
CBD oil is not regulated and as such, there is no consistency in the batches made from the same manufacturer let alone different manufacturers.
We have decided not to use the oil as there are too many uncertainties versus the potential benefit.
If you do try it do research and observe observe observe!!
Hope this helps.
