You couldn’t have wanted anything else that a peaceful quiet slipping away with your mum able to be with him.

So sorry for you having lost him, but enjoy remembering who he was before the sadness of MSA. Nothing can take that away.

he has had it for about 5 years , he is 83 now , he started getting worse in the last couple of years , with his walking and speech getting really bad , he didn’t help himself much as wouldn’t do exercises or any speech therapy , but I think that was more to do with his age, he was very active up until then , how old is your husband ? x

Elaine, I am so very, very sorry. He is at peace now and I'm so pleased your mum was able to be with him. It will be difficult, very difficult however you will need to be strong for yourself and your mum. That's what he would have wanted.

Our thoughts are with you, do take care, Ian x

Oh Elaine, I am so very sorry. I send you my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you, your mum and your whole family. Nothing quite prepares you for the death of a parent even though you know they are very ill. This condition is a beast and like you say, your dad is now at peace and not suffering anymore.

Dear Elaine

Words alone won’t help during these early days but knowing it was peaceful and your dad was loved and was surrounded by those who loved him will sustain you

Sad news at this sad time and our love and best wishes are sent to you all.

It's now time to look after yourselves which I am sure is what your dad would have wanted.

I’m sorry for your loss and hope that you can find peace with it some day. I keep telling myself that my dad is no longer suffering and declining anymore. It’s very difficult. Coming up to 2 months since my Dad passed, he was 59. I wish I had him longer 😞

Your Dad looks so happy and I’m sure you’ve all got lovely memories. Xx
