Medical exemption on the NHS for PV?

Im 59 and have had pv for 18 months. Does anybody know is pv classed as a medical exemption on the NHS? Im thinking of going back to work and will loose my benefits thats why i am asking.

Hi peddlers, yes it is, I claimed last year and my exemption certificate came through within 2 weeks. My GP was not aware of it and was grateful for the information. PV is classed as a blood cancer.

At first my doctor said it was not, but after reading this site and other I claimed and I have a exemption card now. So claim
